Abstract

This article examines the parameters of the cardiorespiratory system in the anaerobic lactate zone in elite athletes. The aim of the study was to adapt the "ideal" or "proper" cardiorespiratory system model to describe various parameters of the glycolytic system in the anaerobic lactate zone in accordance with the oxygen consumption rate in elite athletes. Results: The parameters of the cardiovascular, respiratory, and glycolytic systems in accordance with heart rate in elite athletes are discussed. Conclusions: The presented model of the "ideal" or "proper" cardiorespiratory system corresponds to all physiological parameters of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems in the anaerobic lactate zone in elite athletes.

Key words: athlete’s heart, ventilation-perfusion ratio, respiratory system.
